Le 19 juin. Nous sommes invités a un ‘garden party’. We’re invited to a garden party.

Facebook friends, and good clients of Georges Vigouroux, a well-known Cahors producer, we were invited to a garden party at the Château de Haute Serre.  Of course we said yes.  With the terrible weather we had all week, it became a cellar party.  We ate well, drank well, and met other ‘immigrants’ to the south-west.  (The next day was beautiful sunshine, and the day after, 34 degrees.)

Harry, tres chic.
Nous arrivons sous des nuages.  We arrive under black clowds.

First, a glass of bubbly, and aperitifs. Gazpacho and little tarts.

Les environs.  Around us.

Georges, himself.  Now it’s his son, Bertrand Gabriel, and his daughter, Christine, who look after things.

Tout le monde à table.  Everyone eating.
Then we had to go – 1 ¼ hours to get home. Thanks to everyone at Chateau de Haute Serre.
