The only monument in the world dedicated to a single
language, it opened on 10 October 1975,[1]
it commemorates the semi-centenary of Afrikaans being declared an official
language of South Africa and the 100th
anniversary of the founding of the Society of Real Afrikaners. Rather controversial now, but interesting to
visit, and photograph. We went there
