On y va vers 9h, avant la foule.  Ce n’est pas du tout un marché comme en France, plutôt un marché ou on va pur manger/acheter des plats, des sandwiches, des gâteaux déjà prépares.  Avant, il y a avait une dame qui faisait une très bonne flammenkeuche, mais elle n’était pas là cette année.

The Stellenbosch market, not at all like the ones we know in France – or in Toronto.  More somewhere to go to buy prepared foods – sandwiches, cakes, lots of goodies.  We go early in the morning to avoid the crowd, but lots of people go to meet their friends and munch – and sip!

 Enfin des legumes.  Finally, some vegetables.

C’est un jeu de mots en anglais, où le livre Pleure, ô pays bien-aimé est ‘Cry the beloved country’ et ici on remplace ‘Cry’ avec ‘braai’ ou Barbecue.   Ça fonctionne mieux en anglais.
